Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)
Our Approach to Packaging
At Tiscotex NV, we are committed to the responsible use of packaging materials and to reducing packaging waste.
The European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will become generally applicable from 12 August 2026. The purpose of this regulation is to reduce packaging waste, improve the efficient use of resources, and enhance the recyclability and circularity of packaging.
Tiscotex NV actively monitors the further implementation of the PPWR, as well as the applicable Belgian and European legislation relating to packaging and packaging waste.
In particular, we focus on:
- avoiding unnecessary packaging materials;
- using packaging materials efficiently;
- reducing packaging waste wherever possible;
- using packaging materials that are suitable for recycling;
- ensuring the proper sorting and disposal of packaging waste;
- complying with the applicable legal requirements relating to packaging and packaging waste.
The PPWR will be introduced in phases. Not all obligations will apply immediately from 12 August 2026. Tiscotex NV will continue to monitor the implementation of the regulation and will adapt its processes where necessary to comply with the applicable requirements.
Through this approach, Tiscotex NV aims to contribute to a more circular and resource-efficient use of packaging and raw materials.
